Overview

CijeneHR is a price comparison application built for the Croatian market. It allows users to compare product prices across multiple Croatian retailers, track price history, and find the best deals. The platform scrapes and aggregates pricing data in real-time.

The Challenge

Building a reliable price comparison engine required scraping data from multiple retailers with different website structures, normalizing product data for accurate comparison, and presenting results in a fast, searchable interface. The system needed to handle thousands of products with regular price updates.

Our Solution

We chose Laravel 12 with Vue 3 and TypeScript for a robust, type-safe application:

• Automated price scraping from multiple Croatian retail chains
• Product matching and normalization across different stores
• Price history tracking with visual charts
• Fast search with category-based browsing
• End-to-end testing with Playwright for reliability
